Calling for stories from our real-life heroes!

Hello, fellow-adventurers!

Achieving success with student debt is like a massive journey, full of peril, adventure, setbacks, and yes, of course, victories. Like any other human being, we start off our journey full of fear but yet with a burning desire to reach our destination – the green pastures that mean so much to us.

Along the way we meet with many challenges. We find mentors, wise souls who perhaps have traversed the path just like we have, and offer much wisdom to us that could benefit us greatly. Or we may encounter other sojourners like us who become allies, companions on the path – people who help us keep the faith when the going looks tough and the path is dark and thorny, and we’re not sure we’ll ever make it.

Every challenge we face, like the unexpected bill or expense, perhaps a job loss here, or a financial setback there, looks like a monster that has set out with the only purpose of defeating us in our quest to achieve freedom from student debt. We weaken, we question our ability and perhaps even the possibility of success.

But the goal is too important to give up. So we trudge on.

One of the things that gives us the greatest strength, that is like a tonic to our tired souls, is the promise and camaraderie – the sense of strength we get from listening to the stories of others just like us.

What challenges did they face? How did they overcome them? What secrets of the path can they share with us, that we may be vigilant against these dangers, and wiser from their lessons learned?

At Student Loan Odyssey, we have great belief and faith in the power of community, of sharing stories and of inspiring each other in this journey.

We invite you to share your story with your fellow-travelers in whatever level of detail you feel comfortable sharing.
